Hello Mums,
Am Hrilina.....Have recently moved to Edinburgh.Really confused with this private public concept.My daughter will go to S1...where exactly the difference lies in curriculum or extracurricular activities,.choice of subjects....Am really new to this system so need ur guidance.
Catchment wise she is eligible for Boroughmuir High School.

Private, fee paying schools, tend to cover the same syllabus as state, non fee paying schools. The difference is often extra curricular activities, better sport, art and music and facilities plus smaller classes. However this isn’t guaranteed at all private schools!

If you subscribe to The Good Schools Guide you will get an over view of the best private schools. You can look at the web sites of the various schools and try and compare what they offer, results of the children and the ethos of the school.

Try and visit anywhere you might be interested in. Other posters might know the school you mention.
