What proof will DD get of her GCSE results (school mixup)?

DD sat 9 GCSEs in summer 2018. She went in to pick the results up and noticed one was missing. The school then sent her a text with another result on it.

She has now had 'official' notification on headed paper from the school. It still only shows 8 results.

My questions are :

• will she get anything else official, ie do they still do certificates from the exam boards?
  
• how can I be reassured that the school will be giving the correct information to any inquiries from universities, etc?
  

Before you say contact the exam officer, I have done this repeatedly - he has not replied to any of my 4 emails, and has form for not responding. So I will keep chasing this but I wondered whether there would be another record anyway.

The exam boards should issue certificates, was it a different board's result missing.

The missing one is Drama AQA. It wasn't the only AQA exam, there was at least one other subject (English Lang and Eng Lit I think).

She should have had the actual certificates by now surely? They're issued in the autumn.

AQA will have a record of it, you need her centre and candidate number.

We always do certificates on an evening in early November so should be in school. If no joy contacting the exams officer try either the receptionist who answers the phone (ours love a bit of a mission) or ask for the member of leadership in charge of overseeing exams to contact you as you've had no joy with the exams officer.

The exam boards sent the certificates out on 7 November so I don't understand why the school haven't sent them on. I will contact the receptionists, they are helpful.

My DS’s old school won’t post certificates. He had to pick them up in person, or authorise me to and I had to sign for them. They put a message on their website, but didn’t send any individual notification. Bit poor, I thought. Your DD’s school may be similar.

We insist that pupils collect and sign for their certificates. We can't post them out in case they get lost.

Most kids collect them at the presentation evening in November but others call in when they can

The school will have the certificates by now. She can ask for them.

They may be waiting for an official ceremony that they do or such like but if your DD isn't bothered about being at a presentation evening, there's no reason why she shouldn't be able to go in and collect them now. Obviously giving a little notice so they can get them out of whatever storage they are secured in.

We don't send certificates by post either, too many go missing. Pick up in person or by a person nominated by the student i.e friend or parent so they can sign for them. Post only in exceptional circumstances bsuch as the whole family have moved abroad so can't collect.

I understand the personal collection reasoning, but an email to all the leavers would have been courteous. They had a presentation day, but only for those who had stayed on at their sixth form.
