Hi,
is it possible to ask to see waiting lists for entry into schools?

Thanks for your answer

You can't see the waiting list, no, as it has other people's data on it. You can ask where you are on the list, but be aware that your position can go down as well as up.

You can ask where you are on the list or how long the list is. When we were on waiting list for grammar we could log on and see our place number, someone also did Freedom of Info request and got all anonymous scores. You can't see other children's names though.

I can't get on the website my phone won't let me but:

a) how do they have bargaining powers when it comes to waiting lists and
b) what did they do to get your dd's into a school.

Reasonable? £250 easy money for them I'd say.

Yeah, I'm intrigued by the bargaining power too...

Looked at it now. So it has no bearing on state schools and seems to just find school places for busy parents.

I don’t know about Nosce Education , but I definitely know that if you use an agent you have far more chance of being first in the queue when it comes to having your case heard ......

@twinkletoes999

What do you mean by ’having your case heard’?

The OP asked about seeing a waiting list... that doesn’t require a ‘case’ and it’s also not required for being selected of a waiting list.
