For a very focused, academic and sporty girl - no idea where to start looking, can anyone help please? She is a good all-rounder.

Whereabouts in Surrey? There are no state grammars except selectives in South London or Kent. Single sex/coed, any specific sports, day/flexi, full boarding?

When you say grammar do you mean state grammar? If so will she be able to pass the 11+ exam? Not all areas have grammar schools.
Where abouts in Surrey are you?

Don't mind too much single sex or coed, but not boarding! We are in the Mole Valley, very close to St John's School, Leatherhead. Thanks @LIZS.

Thanks, both, I realise there are no state grammars now, I meant selectives I suppose.

Her top sports are football and netball.

You'll need to check re football, not many would offer it competitively. St John's is the most obvious choice, Epsom College perhaps, Reigate Grammar, CLF? Nonsuch would be the nearest state selective. How old is she?

For a very bright and sporty child GHS is the place to go. There is also Tormeads or St Cats (too far I would say).St Johns is not known for its academics-although I know it is a lovely school.

Great, thanks sazzy5! I shall have a look at GHS.

GHS and Tormead would both suit. Quite a few girls come in on that train line too, lots from the Clandons/Horsleys areas. Not so many from as far as you, but still, worth looking.
