Honest opinion on St Marks School Bath needed

Hi , hoping parents in Bath can help solve a school dilemma . We're in the middle of relocating to Bath and are arguing about location and high school choices for our DD aged 10 . We'd thought about Hayesfield but now DH wanting to live near to larkhall/ Camden area which means St. Marks . Anybody got an opinion on this school ? Why do people generally avoid it ? Or is it improving now and will become much better in a few years time ? We thought it may be better for a less confident child . Thanks !

It is not the first choice for many because it is a smaller school and doesn’t have the shiny new facilities that others do.
