We cannot arrive in London until August and therefore are in a position where we must choose between ISL and Southbank “sight unseen.” We have daughters entering grades 8 and 10. We would appreciate advice regarding advantages and disadvantages of one over the other. ASL is not an option as even the wait list is closed. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated – thank you.

southbank is much stronger academically and will have more academic children. ISL is very transient, few children who speak English well compared to Southbank.

Southbank.

We have experience with both schools, we had to move a child from ISL to Southbank and it turned out a good decision.

Much better academically, better pastoral care, and more of a professional operation. ISL can be well meaning but chaotic.

Of course things might be different now, our experience is a few years ago now.
