Just an FYI for parents of kids travelling from SW London to East or South Croydon
Southern Rail's new timetable from 20 May has no direct trains from Wandsworth Common, Balham, Streatham Common, Norbury to South Croydon

Not again southern did this twice when ds was at W (once with no notice... the boys found out on the first day of term)

Both times parents petitioned and the school made representations too and the service was reinstated

It's worse than last time - one train in the morning remains that is direct to East Croydon
Otherwise no direct trains to East Croydon or South Croydon

What a disaster, particularly with exams looming. DS's school sent round an email to advise the boys to check the timetables to ensure they don't arrive late for external exams.
