Has anyone else not received their new school info?

Is it too early to have expected the welcome/information pack?

When we were allocated the primary school with Dd1 (granted it was second round ) we received everything the day after acceptence.

But we still haven't received anything.

Just wondering if that's normal and if my fears of somehow accidently rejecting the place or screwing up somehow are unfounded BlushGrin

We didn't get anything until June ie. After the gcse and A levels. They have other things to concentrate on at the moment

Ok so it's probably all ok then. That's a relief.

I checked the website but there are no dates up yet for any meetings/days etc .

Hopefully there will be enough notice to reschedule shifts and stuff...

We haven't had anything either, and neither has anyone else. The transition days aren't until late June, so I'm not worried

Thanks

We were told they would be sending them out in June

If june is the norm then I must just have a couple of friends with some super speedy schools.

Thanks all.

For our secondary it was June too I think.
They waited until all the churn had stopped.
Then spoke to the primaries re the pupils.
Then sorted out the tutor groups.
And only then set information, but when it came it was comprehensive.

I remember DD's y6 teacher complaining the school wanted pupil info forms back the week after SATs...

sent information.

We've had nothing yet - but DD's best friend who is going to a different school has had all her info through already.

It seems to vary massively!

Yes alot of people in mn seemed to know their waiting list positions straight away too we only got ours a week ago .

Now just waiting on this info and an appeal date...

Oh the joys Grin

There is still a lot of movement on waiting lists and so on where we live so we aren't expecting anything for a while. Trying to get hold of the new school's sendco is proving frustrating, though...

we had a welcome letter the next day and just before easter had a whole pack of documents to fill in (including a gift aid standing order form !!). We have dates for parents information evening in early June, taster days and a year 7 family picnic.

They are very organised though !

Some don't send it out until mid May. I guess it depends how much movement there is likely to be on the prospective Year 7s' waiting lists? Think some schools sensibly wait until the updated lists of pupils due to start in the next academic year 'settle'.

We’ve had the initial accept/decline letter right at the beginning of March. I’ve received nothing since then, but dd’s friends going to the same school had another letter last week. I gave it a couple of days before I caved and phoned to confirm all was well - letter has been lost in the post it turns out.
I’d phone or email the school if I’d had no correspondence....just to put my mind at rest.

Nothing yet, but we only got the place a week ago through the waiting list (massive relief here!)

Apparently those who got a place in the main round just had a welcome letter and no other bumf at this point either. So we're not missing out on anything.

No letter no money to pay at least I guess Grin

We've had a welcome letter and a school news brochure but no welcome pack with forms/dates.

My dd is in Y8 at the same school and I vaguely recall getting something early June?

Pretty sure we got ours in June (now yr7) and we had a parents evening around that time too.
