31% of young women aged 18-24 report having experienced sexual abuse in childhood
59% of girls age 13-21 face sexual harassment at school with almost 1/3 of girls age 16-18 experiencing unwanted sexual touching.

Thanks for posting this - signed. (You might want to put it under the petitions and activism topic though, that's where links to petitions are officially meant to go)

sorry, OP, while I'd like consent to be discussed in school, I won't sign a petition this vague.

Also, there are several spelling mistakes, and while I'm not usually pedantic about spelling on online forums, on a petition it matters.

when did it stop being taught in schools?

I'm actually more concerned that teaching pregnancy is no longer compulsary

I certainly teach consent during sex education and am of the understanding that this would be the case in all maintained schools.

Yep, taught in Yr 8 and Yr 9 in different contexts here.

It'd already part of the RSE curriculum at our school, band there is already a well advanced campaign to make RSE compulsory. OP I hope you responded to the DfE's recent RSE consultation: consult.education.gov.uk/life-skills/pshe-rse-call-for-evidence/

If not, you're a bit late to the party.

I agree that a petition needs to be perfectly spelled and well worded to be taken seriously by Parliament. This one needs to be corrected!

P.s. This video is one of the resources used to introduce the topic at our school:

It is already taught in schools.
It should also be taught at home.

Do your research.
Proofread.

It is taught as many others have previously said

Joining the echo chamber here. It is already taught in schools. And rightly so.

But whilst we're at it would it be bad to point out that maybe, just maybe, it would be nice for once in a while the response to general life stuff not to be 'make it compulsory in school'.
