Hi,

I was put off visiting Ibstock because they have a reputation of rejecting children with support needs. Is there anybody with a dyslexic child at Ibstock? I 'd love hear about your experience.

I would re-title your post with Ibstock in the title and you will get more responses.

I know more than one family with children at Ibstock and would not recommend it for children with any learning needs. Support and acknowledgment not forthcoming and any additional support (even if the school tells you you have to have it) is added to your bill- one friend removed her boy after this. Many other more welcoming schools available in SW London. Good luck!

ds has additional needs and we felt that both Dulwich College and Trinity in Croydon were brilliant with his issues and he was offered scholarships at both. Ibstock has a terrible rep for SEN would stay away. Emanuel also weren't great with us.

Latymer Upper School has a good reputation for SEN, you need to get in though, easier said than done, especially for boys, as the competition is fiercer.

Reed’s in Cobham? Learning support lessons aren’t charged extra. Lovely SEN department,
