Just wondered if anyone has heard yet about whether they are through to stage 2? Thanks smile

Hebenon Wed 18-Oct-17 16:19:35

Not a peep! I have to say I am not holding out very high hopes, though, so am able to cope with the suspense.

Same here smile I'm just itching to get my CAF sorted so the whole thing can be put to bed.

Someone posted on the elevenplusforum that they spoke to the school this afternoon and they hadn’t yet been posted...

Hebenon Wed 18-Oct-17 17:44:22

That is exactly how I feel!

Hebenon Wed 18-Oct-17 17:45:19

Oooh, thanks hello. Cross-posted there. I wonder how long we will have to wait. Are your daughters going slightly loopy with the suspense? Mine is.

We got our letter this morning, for anyone at work who is wondering if there will be a letter when they get home!

helloSW15 Thu 19-Oct-17 10:43:02

Letter today for us too!

CharisInAlexandria Thu 19-Oct-17 12:11:56

No news here. Do you think they are sending out the invitations to round 2 first and will send the rejections later? Or do you think they will send both letters at the same time?

Hebenon Thu 19-Oct-17 12:48:51

I don't know. It could be alphabetical or anything really. We did get an invitation to stage 2, though.

CharisInAlexandria Thu 19-Oct-17 12:49:47

Yes everyone does seem to have so far

Hebenon Thu 19-Oct-17 12:55:22

Good luck!

CharisInAlexandria Thu 19-Oct-17 15:07:05

Thanks. Post just arrived extremely late and she is through to the second stage.

helloSW15 Thu 19-Oct-17 15:49:50

Well done all- has anyone heard of anyone who hasn't got through yet?!
Has slightly confused me on what to put on the CAF form now...

Hebenon Thu 19-Oct-17 18:16:40

What are your other options, hello, and how realistic are they? I am in a slight tizzy over what order to put things in.

Very well done to all. It is not easy!

helloSW15 Thu 19-Oct-17 18:23:06

To be honest I didn't think she's get through stage 1 and we haven't seen the school as we couldn't do the one open day! Not sure its the right school for
anyway! Looking at a mixture of private and state. I think I prefer the all girls comp near us so will prob put that at number 1! She should get a place there, subject to vicar's tick!

helloSW15 Thu 19-Oct-17 18:28:17

Luckily her SPAG appears to be better than her mother's....

Hebenon Thu 19-Oct-17 21:45:07

Good luck with whatever you decide!

The thing I liked most about the open day was all the wonderful music. DD v keen on this as she plays the violin and sings. I also thought the headmaster seemed really nice and down to earth. We are doing one private examination but otherwise hoping for Waldegrave.

Hiya - we are preparing for stage2 here too! Congrats on getting through stage1. Does anyone know if the weightage for English & maths is same or more for one than the other?

Hebenon Sat 28-Oct-17 00:22:36

Absolutely no idea! We have done very little prep so any info much appreciated!
