How long should I wait until chasing requested contact?

An incident happened yesterday where a senior member of staff directly went against ds EHCP just before an exam which resulted in him being unable to work as she caused so much anxiety.

I rang to speak at end of day but they were 'in a meeting' so I asked for call when she was free.

They have ds back confiscated item this morning but 1 bit was missing.

I emailed HOY this morning just to say been an incident, waiting for call and can they just make sure they don't make changes to ds plan just before today's exams.

Still heard nothing this evening.

What's a reasonable timeframe to wait? I obviously need to know what happened and ask for ds to be allowed to resit exam. I also need to make sure that all staff are aware of his EHCP and needs to prevent this happening in future as 15 months ago ds was suicidal and school refusing - hence the EHCP!

Thankyou cauli I'll wait until then. Should I email HOY and say still not heard from DHT or email her directly to ask when she's free to call me about the incident?
