Langley boys or Hayes School?

Hi, we are in the process of trying to find a house, we have just accepted an offer on ours so we need to get a move on!

DS1 will start year 5 in September so secondary schools are important to our decision. We have found that both Langley and Hayes have small catchment areas, does anyone know the schools, it looks like whichever house we choose will dictate which school he goes to as very few houses cover both schools.

DS1 is a quiet, confident and clever boy, he's good at sports but not sports mad, he much prefers maths and computers. I'm just hoping someone has some advice as to what the schools are like. Many thanks.

Hayes would be my top choice. The area is nicer and it's a mixed school. I know some children that attend and they are flourishing there. Hth.

Thanks gogo, I was thinking that Hayes might be a better fit for him...now we just have to find a house in catchment....not easy, it seems tiny!!

Honestly - both are really amazing schools - I know people who work and who send their children to both schools.

Langley Boys has absolutely fabulous new rebuild and is on balance a more affluent school.

Langley has a better performing 6 th form which would be automatic entry if that helps it also has an excellent maths department.
