Does anyone have children taking their A Levels who isn't sure how hands on to be and not sure how to ask about their studies/ revisiion? Or what to do if they're struggling?

I have a dd doing A-levels who is - to say the least - very touchy about anything I ask her, or any support I offer.
She has struggles with A levels, tbh, after years of sailing through school doing well without actually having to stretch herself / do any work <-- the problem IMO. she is also 18 - an adult in so many ways, and I think really struggling with the concept of accepting help.
I just keep offering and try not to take it personally when I get my head snapped off.

I've got one but just leave him to it. I don't see what I can do which would be of much help.
