Does anyone have girls at Weydon?
Would love to know how they find it, and how good the school is at dealing with children in middle sets who are easily distracted but have potential? Are they overlooked or encouraged?
Is there a good level of competitive sport?
How is bullying dealt with?
Are children happy there?
Anything else you can share would be a huge help. Thank you!

I am interested to hear experiences of this school too. How do quirky boys get on (ds is not sporty or 'streetwise' at all)? He is talented in programming and robotics - with the relatively large numbers of students in the year group are there opportunities to go beyond the curriculum to pursue these kinds of individual interests? (Sorry op I hope this contributes to rather than derails your thread!)

I'm bias cause I've got children at Weydon. They like it and are v happy.

van You have nothing to worry about. They all have targets and these are monitored and chased regularly. Children are not overlooked. There are 'progress days' (in addition to Parents evenings) when parents are invited in to review targets and progress.

I can't remember the name of the Head of PE but he's lovely! They can do PE as a GCSE subject. The England Womens Rugby team trained with them last week.

Bullying is dealt with v quickly and v well.
Are they happy there? Oh yes!
We were told just before Christmas the school is one of the very few been awarded World Class status. Look it up yourself.

Have a look at the twitter page.
My son is in one of the pictures!

hope There's a good mixture of academic, sporty and vocational (think thats the word) children. There are loads of clubs that are run during and after school you'd have to check. I think there is a computing club but I've lost my list sorry.
