GCSe re-marks

We found out this week that DC's re-marks are back and they've jumped from B in Eng lang and C in Eng Lit to A in both.
Very very pleased, and relieved as the initial results were so different from the predicted grade.

How did everyone else get on? There was quite a gaggle of us back in August I seem to remember.

I am pleased for you.

Was the amended result accompanied by an explanation/detail?

Well Done to your DC! Grade C to Grade A is quite a jump.

Still waiting!

DS was one mark off a C. I would be so pleased for him if he got it. He has started the course again with a resit (again) in June. I am not he can face Of Mice and Men for the third time!

No explanation, just a letter from the school and a printed sheet with the new results on.
Fortunately they were allowed to start the A level Literature in spite of the grade based on the coursework element of the GCSE which was all A. I'm wondering if a question was missed or something, but the new grade is enough so we won't pursue further.
