West London Free School - on getting a place!

They say they have 120 places in total for Year 7, and 12 of these go straight to music scholarships. The next allocation of places goes to SEN and siblings. As there are 600 pupils in the school, I'm wondering if there are actually any places left for proximity places! I've rung to ask the school directly, but they clearly don't want to give this information out, as they just say vague things like 'We never know how many siblings there will be', and when I've requested last year's figures, 'I don't have that information to hand'. I've tried emailing, but got no answer at all. Would anyone with kids at the school be able to give me an idea? Am considering moving my whole family closer to get a place, but obviously don't want to do this if there is little or zero chance.

Oh, that's brilliant, thanks PatriciaHolm! It's a lot larger than I imagined :)

I'd be careful making assumptions though - I suspect that map is the distances for all offers, including siblings/those at feeder schools etc. You could easily have a sibling admitted who lived several miles away who would skew the results. I suspect the distance for non-siblings/non feeder etc is small!

Yes, good point! Even the Hammersmith & Fulham website says the school has very few proximity based places, so I think almost all go to scholarships/SEN/siblings. Will have a look at other schools...

You're better off elsewhere anyway. Far too many changes of staff there.

Toby - you have given out the address of one of your pupils? I have never seen that on LA published data. Are you sure you should have??
