Published Ofsted reports

Why would an Ofsted inspection that took place in February not have been published yet?

There are other inspections around 2 weeks earlier that were published within 2 weeks.

This was a 1 day inspection and school is an academy if that makes any difference?

TIA

Report could have been picked for Ofsted internal review for language in report. Ours was held up for nearly 5 weeks including half term.

School may be challenging content.

If it was only a one day inspection then I assume the school was 'Good' at previous inspection and has been found to be 'Good' again as no second day inspection - happens if Inspector is looking at Requires Improvement or Outstanding.

Thank you. No idea if they came back a second day but I can certainly imagine this school being one to challenge it!

TBH im not that worried about content and rating as I know it doesn't tell everything - hence why I never checked before. It was just I wanted to see if there was any narrative on a particular aspect of the school for my own reference.

I did think it strange school haven't mentioned it for the past 6 weeks!

They also do not publish, so we were told, during school holidays - don't know how they decide which Easter holiday dates that would be.

That makes sense.

As I say it was one particular area I was interested to see if they commented on. It's no big deal - it changes nothing!

you have no idea which team it was, what their back log could be, how many schools they are seeing, what their admin procedures are like. There is nothing unusual about this.

Thanks. Ive really not thought about it since it happened (or when it happened really because I know it's what happens in school iyswim?)

It was just whilst discussing something with a friend I mentioned an area I felt school were excelling in but I had a feeling another area was suffering as a result - but that I didn't know if it was my perception from what DS says (so personal) .

She suggested seeing if Ofsted commented on it.

I still am none the wiser but it's certainly not something I'd worry about - and TBH if it's a school wide thing and Ofsted did comment on it I'm sure the school are taking measures to improve it back to what it was anyway - so probably a bit of a moot point Grin
