Hall School Wimbledon - anyone unhappy?

I was wondering whether anyone has been unhappy or is unhappy with the Hall School Wimbledon, the secondary school.We personally are having a difficult time there and were wondering whether there is anyone out there with similar experiences. The teaching is very good, but the headmaster and some of the teachers often break the proper code of conduct and on top of this will never accept any complaints or criticism. They will always turn it around to make it look as if the parent is rude to dare approach them with a complaint and the child is always labelled unruly and horrible to make the parent feel guilty and unlikely to complain. The slightest misbehaviour is exaggerated and aggressively disciplined in an unacceptable way. teachers have even lied to us about their own conduct and about our son. Is anyone there who thinks the same?

I have to say, regardless of whether other people are happy or unhappy with this school, you have to make a decision based on your own experience here. Is your son unhappy or is it you? If it's your son and the school are in your eyes difficult then you have the choice to move him. Just do it. It's not that difficult. Start looking for alternatives, once you've done your research and found an acceptable alternative then move him. You don't have to inform the school until your next terms payment is due! You'll all be happier for it. If you lose a terms fees ( because the timing is wrong) it will be worth it in the long term anyway.
In my experience, independent schools expect you to fully cooperate with their ethos. And NO schools, independent or state handle criticism well. Regardless of that, if your experience is that the teachers 'break the proper rules of conduct,' 'lie,' then it's time to cut your losses and move.

I would speak to the authorities perhaps. So much bad stuff and the truth has come out about that school and the men in charge. The proper code of conduct was indeed broken in more ways than one!

Snoopy, what do you mean? I have always been suspicious of the school, something never felt right, I am now curious if my gut instinct was right?
