My y12 dd has just been to Oxford for the week for this, and had an amazing time.

If anyone has a state school y11 (or younger) who is likely to get a few A*s/do well at GCSE relative to their school peers, and is interested in pushing themselves a bit further next year, I'd definitely recommend considering an application.

Dd did it last summer. Spurred her to apply to Oxford and she starts in October (did IB so has results already).
An absolutely fabulous experience and great insight into Oxford student life.

Agree. My dd also went last year. Would probably have never considered applying before that. Now waiting on A2 results to see if she meets her offer.

Lol, well, my dd2 was pretty sure she didn't want to apply to Oxford for her subject, and it confirmed that for her - but she still had a fabulous time Smile
