Tips for school trip to Paris

Hi

my year 7 daughter is off on her school trip to Paris next week and just seeing if any other net mums have any general tips . The journey will be 10 hours most of which will be on the coach so just also seeing how other net mums children amused themselves : )
Any advice / ideas welcome

Can they take tablets / phones? If so, a film or two. Travel board game? Books. Lots of food and drink. Headphones.

Sometimes coaches will put a film on to help pass the time.

Will the journey be taken during waking hours? This isn't net mums btw

I think Y7s tend to amuse themselves by way of endless hyperactive talking interspersed with Haribo, from my experience.

What have staff said? If they agreed to electrics at own risk then a fully charged phone with charger/europlug should do the trick or a kindle with games like zooistry, tetris, words with friends and several books downloaded. Or ipod.
If none of those things wanted/owned or too £ to risk taking, then a couple of teen magazines, they can always swap them round. Pack of cards or even Top trumps (they do more modern ones like dr who?)
Some pound coins and euros for the service stops. A U cushion/headrest for a kip.
Most coaches have a TV and most staff play a U /PG rated movie for the kids?

Depends on the time of day. A lot of kids on the last Paris trip I went on we're very sensible... They took blanket, pillow and eye mask and slept for most of the journey. (We did set out at 4 am though) some of the others played cards or listened to music on their headphones. As long as they were relatively quiet activities it didn't really matter.

Thanks to all for suggestions - will pass them on : ) and sorry for the net mums slip ( total brain fail on my part ! ) : ) They been told no ipads but can take phones - will buy some mags and snacks . They travelling during day so hopefully will pass quickly and they never seem short of things to talk about so guess they will amuse themselves like you say !
