Mid Wiltshire Schools thoughts - Dauntsey, SWGS or Market Lavington Comp?

Any opinions on these 3 schools versus each other? Primary school thinks Dd would pass 11+ to get into all. Dd coasting at primary and frankly a bit lazy/rebellious wanting to be same as other village girls at school. Main worries are:

SWGS - if we get in on distance (been done before) - prob. 60 min bus ride away/40 min in car (I could drive as work in Salisbury part time) but maybe would get her to work/interest her in school more as she would want to be "same as all the other girls" there but worried about the hot house reputation and social life distance. (None of Dd's current school class girls will be going)

Dauntsey - would have to go back to work full time to pay for this and also have a Ds coming along later. If we had the money easily this would be my first choice, good local reputation, know other families there seems nice balance of academic and sport/music (None of Dd's current school class girls will be going).

Market Lavington - Good reputation comp, GCSE results improved this year (were middling now pretty ok in the 70%s) and seems definately best of local areas comps we could realistically get into (St Johns Marlborough too oversubscribed). Worried she would not be stretched there and keep coasting/not trying. Also no 6th form which I hate. Would really love if anyone had experiences of Market Lavington to share? Also all most current school class (which is vvvsmall) will be going here so of course she wants to do what they are.

Sorry its a bit of a brain dump but don't want to feel I will have let my daughter down in the future by just letting her follow her friends to the comp.

Thanks

Sorry, can't help with this but will be watching with interest as Dauntsey's is on our list too and I'd be interested to hear any experiences.

Can't help much but I went to SWGS (admittedly a long time ago)... I hated the bus ride. 45 mins there and 45-55ins back. There were a few of us who did it who lived near me so I wasn't alone. But I felt like I was forever on the bloody bus.

That's why smartphones were invented - for the bus ride home from school! Sorry, couldn't resist it.

Sounds like Lavington is perhaps the best option. Could you look in to the options elsewhere for sixth form to maybe help you get over that issue.

Saying that my DC went to a school without a sixth form and I still think that things would have turned out differently if she had been able to stay on. Yet on the other hand my DS is thriving at college and would never had stayed on at school.

Could you look at perhaps sending her to Dauntseys for sixth form
