Yeah! I can't believe they've planned so many results for Friday 13th...

Thank you for part 2. I've been watching this with interest, and wishing the best for you Castles.
Afrodizziac, I'm also biting my fingernails for Friday. I think it's cruel that it's Fri 13th for results. I'm waiting on the 10+, which other ones are out then?

Dinocroc · 09/02/2015 20:35

I'm waiting on KGS 10+ too. Why can't they tell us now? I bet they know and have a little pile of envelopes on a desk somewhere Grin

Hampton 11+ out this Friday too.

zumbaqueen · 09/02/2015 20:39

Good luck. Nails now worn down. So long to wait. Did your DCs have general interviews? Is that what all 10+ have?

Report
Dinocroc · 09/02/2015 20:41

He chatted about buying a glue stick. I'm assuming that's general. Could have been art or DT right ?

Boys KGS, LEH due this Friday
St George's too?

Report
zumbaqueen · 09/02/2015 20:46

Hee hee-it's a hidden world in there. I'd be surprised if they did subject specific interviews given the amount they give a 10+ place to... or am I just being optimistic ?

Well done chaps, not long to go now.

We're waiting on Roedean tomorrow, JAGS Thursday and Ibstock Friday. I think that's right - DD tore our massive calendar down after her last exam and jumped on it.

Report
mertonmama · 09/02/2015 21:10

Still here as well and glad to see part 2 up and running! Waiting for JAGS at the end of the week but also Tiffin on 3 March as well.

Starting to feel like there is an end in sight for DD and her friends - and then they can get on with enjoying the last few months of primary school.

Castles - so sorry to hear your news. Here's hoping you get a break soon - some great advice from previous posters I think.

Hi there, waiting for KGS 11+ and boy Sutton Grammar school results. I go through phases of feeling that I am beyond caring.

I have been taking notes for DD in 2 years time.

I don't know Zumba. I think they offer 25/40 so if his shopping related banter wasn't up to scratch he's back next year right ? Grin

zumbaqueen · 09/02/2015 21:44

I heard those stats too Dino. I wasn't stressed at all before the exam (for practice, but flabbergasted when DD got an interview) , now it's a case of so near.....and the thought of a year off before 2nd child.

Dinocroc · 09/02/2015 21:48

I know it's so close...... And I've told him he can have drum lessons if its a yes. We did it as a long shot but i will feel like fourth in the Olympics if we don't get it now

I know what you mean zumbaqueen ... my DS sat 4 exams, one being an aspirational long shot, he then got an interview there and I now will be gutted if he doesn't get an offer whereas 2 months ago it really wasn't on the agenda!

Report
Chocfinger · 09/02/2015 22:51

i will also feel gutted if Friday brings bad news even though the schools we hear from are my DD's aspirational choices! Godolphin and Notting Hill and Ealing on Friday and possibly Latymer. Yikes...3 and a bit more days and then another long wait until 2 March! Good luck everyone

Don't forget those who are on waiting list purgatory waiting for refusals.I have heard offers being made on the first day of term.

Report
DarkBlueEyes · 10/02/2015 08:18

I have no hopes at all for the remaining school I'm waiting for so looks like I have only one offer out of five exams. Obviously not what we'd hoped for but I'm not complaining as we DO have an offer and thank god for that. Good luck everyone.

Ah! There you all are...

Chillax, its Kew House - no mystery Smile

Castles, crappy to have to deal with disappointment and change of expectations. I hope, and trust, that your lovely dd ends up going somewhere she'll be happiest and am sure you and yours will come up with creative new paths to head down....you are VERY good at that. Meantime, Brew and Cake (which will be much nicer than any I can lay my hands on) and good hunting.

TBH, I'm still yearning for the local state for dd (best textiles department we saw, which she'd love) though I'm yearning in secret because she is in love with Kew. Did you go and look, when you were here? x

Dark,
Perhaps a short email again to SHS saying you are still very interested, but sitting on another offer. Ask when they might be in a position to review the waitlist as you dont want to mess the other school around.

I am sure you will get SHS. And think it is worth waiting.

Report
wheresthebeach · 10/02/2015 11:05

If memory serves you were number 2 on the SHS wait list? I'm sure it will move. But it's hard.

St Catherine's is a lovely school too.
