waiting lists movements

hi all

we never got our first choice for our daughter and still on the waiting list.

what id really like to know, is there still time for movement? has anyone been offered a place over the summer holidays?

all schools we applied for are catholic as we are practicing Catholics. Not sure if this could mean less movement on the waiting lists compared to other schools.

thanks all in advance

Yes there is still time for movement. Sometimes people who have gone private or moved away don't bother notifying the school, so the first the school knows of it is when the child fails to arrive on the first day of term.

Last year one of my friends' daughters was offered a waiting list place two weeks before term started. She decided to stick with her original offer because by that point she was all prepared for going there.
