Help! I need a ten minute lesson plan for interview!

I have an interview on Friday for a cover supervisor job. As part of the interview, I have to teach 25 mixed ability key stage 3 pupils for 10 minutes. The scenario I have been given is that I am covering a lesson and no work has been set. My job at the moment is to teach functional skills to young young adults.
Has anyone got any foolproof ideas? The only resources I'll have are whiteboard (not interactive - I don't know how to use one) and pens and paper for the students. Any bright ideas would be much appreciated.

No - that's the only information. My specialism is English (literacy rather than literature) so that would probably be a sensible starting point.

Thanks Indians, the World Cup did cross my mind. It is a little daunting but I suppose it may well be a situation I may find myself in, should I get the job (especially if it's a Spanish class, no work has been set and my entire Spanish vocabulary consists of 'hola' and gracias!)

Ten minutes is no time at all.

I'd be tempted to print out two A3 signs saying AGREE and DISAGREE, move the tables back and stick the signs on opposite walls. Then read out a statement and ask the class to place themselves somewhere between the two signs (in the middle of the room = don't know).

Once they have got into position, ask individuals why they are where they are, and see if any students want to move after hearing their argument.

Keep the pace fast, and explain how you would develop this task (writing to persuade, for example) if you had a longer lesson.
