What happens if you're lucky and win an appeal?

We have more than one appeal on the go as we were allocated a school we hadn't requested. We've already attended one hearing, and the others are after half term.
What happens if (fingers crossed) we win a place, then also win a place at another school? Or even all 5 we're asking for?!!
How long do we get to accept/reject that place, whilst waiting for the verdict from the other appeals?
Also, we've since phoned round and another local school has spaces so we've put DDs name down for that. It's not a school we're particularly impressed with, but its ok and miles better than the one we were given. Will accepting a place there count in our favour or against us in our hearings?

I would have thought you only get a day or so to decide. In some areas if you win the apoeal they automatically take away your original school offer. Accepting the place will work in your favour as you will be seen as reasonable.

Good luck.

I doubt that the issue will arise. Are these all maintained schools? If so, if you win an early appeal there's a strong chance that any later panels will be made aware of that fact and they're wildly unlikely to allow another one. Anyway, if you're asked, you would have to tell the truth.

The appeal panel won't know anything about other schools you are considering/ have accepted. If they ask- you don't have to tell them. Good luck

In effect for every one that you win at appeal you will get the written offer of the place and it will be for you to accept or reject the place. Normally they would be looking for a reasonably prompt response, so you can't just hold onto till you know about all the appeals. You will need to accept or reject as they come up.
Where you have or have not accepted a place should not be a relevance at any of the appeals. The appeal is about the school you want to go to, not the one you don't want to go to.

So.... If we win a place at the first school (possible as they have 32 appealing and stated they could take 20) we'd accept that place.... if we then win the second one, we could decline the first one and accept the second if we wanted?
There are 3 others that we're appealing for, but 2 of them are look impossible to win as they're already over capacity and haven't been over PAN for the last few years.
We have already been asked if we're appealing for others, we said yes, but if the panel won't know the outcome of previous hearings then I'll keep that to myself.
Thanks!

Spot on. You win your first appeal and accept the place offered. You then win your second appeal and, if you prefer that one, you reject the place from the first appeal and accept this one.

Thanks for all your help, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say how grateful we are!
I'm happy to say that we were offered a place at one of our chosen schools as we got to the top if their waiting list.... very happy!!!
