DD is due to go back on a reduced timetable this Monday- she's been stressed and very angry at everyone from the anxiety around it, and I'm worrying about it a lot.
She's going into school in the morning until lunch, but will do her work in the library (we have had work sent home by the school) although this will build up to the lesson before lunch and so on (so that if she's very stressed by it, she'll be home not long after and be able to get away from it). I'm worried that it might make her feel more awkward as her friends will be questioning her (before the holidays she was off for a bit and, of course, this school week too) and she'll hate the attention, it will make it very hard for her. Although we'd do anything to get her back into school smoothly!
Did it help your DC get back into the swing of things, or was going into it full time and having it less drawn out (and less questions) easier for your DC if they've been off (two, nearly three, months in her case)?
The reduced timetable was built around her suggestions (she/her counsellor designed it in the main) which should help of course, but I'm really worried about Monday.
