What shoe size do your y7 dd wears?

My y6 dd is tiny and she will be in y7 in this September. She only wears sized 13 shoes at the moment. Just want to get some idea how small she is comparing to other kids in y7. Thanks

By the way dd only wears age 9 cloths. Is it uncommon?

DD2-11 is in Year 7 and wears size 6 (same as me). Her feet haven't grown in about a year. DD1-14, however, only wears size 4 and her feet haven't grown in a few years.

In Y7 I think DD was a size 4. She is now in Y10 and is a 4 1/2 - 5. One of her BF's is a size 3 and another is maybe a 2. All in Y10.
DD(14) was wearing age 10 clothes in Y7. She is still wearing an age 10 skirt, but is in age 13-14 uniform (which all looks a little bit big!), size 6-8 clothes.

I don't think being a smaller size is a major issue for girls unless they are really, really tiny.

My 10 year old has clothes in ages from 8 to 11, she's about average height, but she's a skinny malinky.

Are you short? Because if you are, I wouldn't worry if she is.

Also, ds went into y7 as one of the shortest in his class, the school jumper he wore in Y6, his sister was wearing in Y4. He left high school at well over 6ft tall.

My DD is in size 5 shoes, only another half size and she'll be able to fit in mine Smile

She has a few Y7 friends who are shorter than her and only in size 2-3 shoes so i don't think it's that uncommon to be small.

I think both of mine were about 4s as DD1 used to borrow my shoes.
at 16 she is a 5.5-6 in boots

DD2 is still wearing last years (Y7) size 4 brogues. She's just shot up 2 inches so I expect she will end up wanting slightly bigger shoes in Sept.

My Y6 dd is at the opposite end of the spectrum - she's a size 7 (one size bigger than me...)

Y6 Dd is a 1 it has saved me a fortune as her school shoes usually last a full year. Wears aged 8-10 clothes depending on where from.

My year 7 DD is in size 3 shoes. She is one of the smallest in her year, but is happy with that. I hope she starts to grow soon, as I seem to remember stopping growing at 15. I am 5'4", so think I'm on the small side of average?

DD has size 6 feet and is 5 ft 5. One of her best mates still wears age 6-7 and has size 1 feet, so I wouldn't worry. As dd says, everyone makes allowances for the littlest ones that they don't make if they think you're 14.

Well, my dd takes size 3 shoes, but I know at least a couple of her friends are size 12 - 13, because they did rollerblading in PE, and they were discussing the fact that the skates only started at size 1 & thick socks were needed Grin

DD is definitely on the tall side for girls in her year at just under 5 foot, some of her friends are much, much smaller, I guess it just depends when they hit puberty.

DD is 11 (but in year 6) and wears size 7 shoes - but she is the biggest/tallest in her year.

There is a huge range of sizes at age 11/12/13, as some children have already hit puberty and started their growth spurt, and some are still very much children. It's normal to see best friend pairings where one child is a whole head-and-shoulders above the other - two of DD's friends barely reach her shoulder.

It is not as if you can do anything to make your DD grow overnight, and I am sure she is within the normal range, so there is no point worrying about it.

One of dd's best friends is tiny and has size 13 feet - dd is 5'4" with size 5 feet - dd isn't the tallest in the year and her friend isn't (quite) the smallest - there is a huge range of normal at this age (and it's even more extreme once the boys hit puberty)

Mine wears a size 5. She is the taller size of average in height and a slim build. My 19 year old daughter is the same foot size and I am only a 4 but I think my 11 year old will end up with larger feet than both of us.
