Where can I find GCSE results by school and by subject?

Hello, I am looking to compare GCSE results for independent schools and understand that these are published by subject matter. I would love to see those but have not had any luck searching for them.
Would anyone know where I can find them?
Thanks

Our state comp has them on its website somewhere. Would they not be on the individual school's sites?

You do know that you would have to look at these also taking into account:

  • general intake of the school (highly selective, non-selective)
  • quality of that year group (there are year by year variations)
  • profile of pupils taking that particular subject (some subjects attract more able students and the other way round)

otoh, we have found them quite useful for DD's school to see whether we can reasonably expect a B or whatever in a particular subject, knowing what set she is in for it.

Thanks, yes it is crucial to consider the wider contexte ! But no they are not on the school's website.
I need to keep looking !

The school is the only place you'd find them. If they aren't on the website ask under FoI?

For the comp I am hoping DD2 gets into, they have subject results tables in the yr7 prospectus.

As TweenandTeen said, our state school have all the GCSE options, number of candidates taken and percentage passing at A-C grade as their website. If you can't find anything on the schools websites, ask them direct.

The Performance Tables can be accessed by clicking the following link:

www.education.gov.uk/schools/performance/

On the right hand side of the Performance Tables Home page, click on the blue text “Download Data”. This will take you to the Download Data page. Under the sub title “2012 Key Stage 5 qualification and subject level results” you will find a link to a file called “KS5 qualification and subject data”. Click on this link as this will take you to a data file which will show information at institution level on the entries and achievements in specific subjects by grades
