My daughter seens so busy at school that her whatsapp response has now become very limited...

Ranging from ......Busy got Prep....to Busy with friends...Busy swimming or in practice for one of the teams. I think its netball ....

Is this normal?

At Primary school she would tell us everything....now its just a response not to be impolite..

You cant tell from these if she is happy or not...The school says she is... but being a parent its hard...

I assume your DD boards. We worry about children constantly contacting their parents it's usually an indication they're not happy and integrating in school life.

I get 'school stuff' as the standard response Hmm

I think it's pretty normal!

Little bits of actual information get revealed at random moments in the car (whenever I'm trying to concentrate on something, basically).

Well at least its normal....

I suppose its better than her rining me saying she wants to come home..

Goodness yes!

fwiw it sounds like you hear more from yours than I do mine, and he's not at boarding school Grin

And she knows she can communicate with you when need be, which is what matters I think :)
