i would go Perry Beeches. Are you in the catchment? Its very small, about less than a mile. Great Barr is a school I would class as struggling to be honest. Its huge and I know of a few children who have had bullying issues there. Their rate of 5 x gcse at a - c (including maths and english) is 54%.

I would also recommend Perry Beeches if you are in the catchment area.
As Bemused siad Great Barr is very big. I have been advised that this year 6 is a low birth rate (not sure if true), but it might mean the catchment is slightly larger than previous years.

tinks313 i think it was a low birth year at primary age because dds school which is one form entry and over subscribed has children from all over in her year who just struck lucky. however with immigration to the local area the class is now full so I wonder how much that will pan out for the secondary applications.
