Has anyone tried GCSEpod?

My DC's school has suggested GCSEPod, but I'm unclear as to how it works? Could I purchase it via my computer then transfer it to ipod or phone? It sounds quite good but not sure about the technical side of it.

I did get some modules for my DS (Eng Lit & History mainly) and he liked them very much. He has a 40 minute walk from school each day so often listened to the modules then. He could hold his own in discussions with the teacher (and this was remarked upon in something the teacher had written for him in his 'end-of-school autograph book')! It depends how the child learns, to be honest, and it would not be for every child. DS learns best by listening (and 121s with teachers) but finds it really hard to concentrate just by reading information.

The GCSE PODs are very expensive and there are an awful lot of other free resources on the internet, but if you don't mind spending the money, and there is a reason why listening resources might suit your child then I would say go for it!
