Don't know much about this school. DD current school recommend sutton high as a backup for wimbledon, putney high. Seems to be quite academic upto GCSE but seems losing bright ones at A level... Just my observation....

RE - Glenthorne High School - Does anyone know what score they need to get in the performing arts, music or dance banding tests to actually get one of the selective 24 spaces? The pass rate is 32 out of 50. Does anyone know anyone who got in the last few years and what they actually scored?

+ Does anyone know the average pass score?

I spent 13 miserable years at Sutton High in the 60's and early 70's, I can only hope it's changed ! Any flair or individualities were rapidly squashed !

I know people in the 70s who switched from WHS to Sutton and were much happier. At present it's,the default for WHS/Putney if your girl isn't right fir the size Surbiton has become. . I liked it; dd liked it but not as much as others. The getting to know you day put her off because she felt it was cliquey and unfriendly. She said she would prefer to go to Roseberry if she didn't get into her first choice.

I suspect the SLT is a bit lacklustre. Certainly Roseberry seemed more efficient and passionate about its girls. And that's saying something. I still think it would have been caring though.
