Teenage boys skinny leg school trousers - where from? Not M&S anymore

Does anyone know where to get skinny leg school trousers for 13 yr old boy? M&S don't do them anymore and the BHS slim leg are Charlie Chaplin style?

Oh no! I loved those M&S ones! Watching with interest.

I got some lovely ones for ds from Asda in September but they sold out quickly. They had a pocket on the leg but were really slimline and look great on him as he is skinny! Don't know if they are back in now.

No. Just checked and they are not there Sad. The skinny ones are ridiculous with a really massive top and then skinny legs. The other ones were just slim up and down.

My DS's legs are thinner than my DH's arms his knees are wider than his thighs he's taller than average and has a tiny waist and very narrow through the hip all of which is weird as he eats me out of house and home!? The M and S ones have always been too big so I now only buy the John Lewis Boys' Polywool College Trousers mix you can come down to a smaller size at 15 he wears a side 13 but the long ones remain long enough so they fit pretty well and last well too.

have you tried Debenhams? we've bought slim boys trousers there before for dd1 as they fitted better than the girls when she was about 12-13 (we had issues as she's not allowed proper skinny fit trousers and didn't have any hips to hold wider ones up!)

The link to the George ones looks ok, thanks, he is a skinny boy and the slim legs I ordered from BHS really did fall in folds around his legs. I will give those george ones a try, thanks. We are fostering this boy and it is hugely important to him to feel like he looks good at school, though I suppose all of them care at this age.

We found slim fit school trousers in M&S recently but they are now called 'modern fit ' for age 13 years but you should be able to order them online. Agree its really hard to find slim fit trousers for school. I may still have the tag at home so let me know if you want the item number.

Thanks Katy, the slim fit are ok but out of stock and I didn't realise what modern fit was. He likes them skinny and they did do M&S skinny legs until recently.

Topman is the place all the cool chaps go apparently. They are very thin material and £25 so not thinking they are very robust! Smallest waist size is 28".

Trust me homebythesea, Topman are sh!te. Ds had 5 pairs hoping they would do 2 years of 6th form and they look like dishrags and he has only had them since September. Not very happy I can tell you, all bobbly and limp looking, mbut apart from that the style is fine.

Totally agree- if it was up to me I'd buy the flappy legged trews from the uniform shop which would survive a nuclear winter but that would be social death appaz Shock

Burton do a 28" waist with various lengths of black skinny trousers, and they are the best. The only ones I've bought that last the year. Can't recommend them enough.

The best I've ever bought for my small and skinny DS are from Next and I bought them last September - slim-fit. Excellent quality.

Before you buy some perhaps you ought to check the school's uniform policy. Skinny leg trousers are banned at DD's school.

Bought my tall (and incredibly fussy) DS 2 pairs of skinny fit trousers at Next for Men - they start at 26" waist and have so far lasted the whole of this year - he and I are both very happy - highly recommend them for teenage boys who don't want to walk around looking like Charlie Chaplin....

basildonbond · 09/12/2014 20:40

sadly they only do short length in 26" - ds needs long length but they only start at 30" :(
