Hi, i come from another european country so i am trying to understand how the GCSE work.
If i see that a school has 75% of pupils obtain 5 A*-C is it good or not?
Whatnis the limit between good performance and bad performance? Thanks!

75% is very good for a non selective school with a mixed ability intake.
Some schools get 100% but generally they are schools which have an entrance test and only select the top few children in an area to attend.
A poor school would be considered to be one that got below 40%
I think the national average is something like 59% and most people consider 65%+ to be good.

Is that 5A*-C including maths and English? If yes, then 75% is very good, if no, then it's not very good.

That's a good point noblegiraffe. I was assuming it was as that's normally what's reported.
