Home Schooling secondary school

Im contemplating home schooling my son who started secondary school in September, have been contemplating it for a while and I feel home education would be better for him. The only thing stopping me is that he is quite shy so I am concerned about him mixing with other children. Does anyone home educate and give me any advise?

There is a Home Education section within Education, I would suggest posting there. Some of the parents also have secondary age children.
