The information says school uniform for interviews, but what about the exams, if they are conducted on a Saturday?

Mine did Whitgift yesterday, a few in uniform. Vast majority smart casual.

So maybe smart casual seeing as it is Saturday?

I would go for that. Which school?

Clothes would be good Grin

Basically anything comfy and practical -e.g. chinos & shirt but what's really important is how well they do in the exam so if your dc has a 'lucky' sweatshirt then that would be fine (I'd probably draw the line at hot pants and heels ...)

Child is a 10 year old boy, so I doubt hot pants and heals would ever cross his mind! Grin

DD is going for an entrance exam tomorrow (not down south though) and the letter says they don't need to wear uniform. Think DD says she is going to wear maybe leggings and a tunic type topic, but not sure. Just going for comfortable - not dressing up or anything.

My older Ds is at Emanuel- Smart casual is fine. Good luck- My Ds is very very happy.

Ds wore t-shirt, sweater and jeans yesterday for Whitgift exam. Some boys were in school uniform but many were v casual. They just need to be comfy, imo.

Therugratref - come and join us on the Whitgift thread Grin

He has selected his favourite "skate park" checked casual shirt, and beige chinos, think he will be fine...

Emanuel is my top choice, so keep fingers crossed. Even ds2 loved it there, especially the art department.

We intend to be there for 8.30 ish. Ds1 is STILL awake. In his bed, unable to sleep. He came down with a "lip bleed" moments ago, and needed new pillow case, sympathy and lip cream.

Gahhhh!

Had the same problem here with no sleep! RGS test tomorrow, ds didn't fall asleep until nearly 11 after pathetically crawling into my bed and declaring he was 'too nervous' to sleep!

Might be a bit too late but melatonin works well helping kids to sleep. My paediatrician recommended it for those times when the kids are a little too revved up. Not sure if you can get it in the UK though... It didn't used to be available. Good luck with all the exams and sleeping!!

Well, at Emanuel it didn't really matter what DS wore as he sat in the sports hall which he said was freezing so he had to keep his winter coat on all through the exam! All he can talk about is how cold he felt...You'd think they would care to warm the place up...It is a place designed to be moving about and sweating and not sitting at a desk...!

Did he do the exam today?
Ds sat in a small room with just 10-15 other children, he was quite comfy. But he was wearing a t shirt with a V neck so would be warm.
