Could anyone recommend a good book on facts of life for my 10 year old daughter (year 5 in primary school)? Or any advice on how to talk to my daughter about facts of life? Many thanks.

I think " Where Willy went " is a sweet book, very basic but sweet. My DD loved it. You will probably find some reviews on Amazon.

We have the Usborne book 'Let's talk about where babies come from.' They also make 'Let's talk about sex' which has some of the same material and some more detailed stuff. The second book is aimed at 10-14 year olds.

Usbourne's 'Growing Up' is also great. I had it when I was little and bought it for my 9 year old recently as it is clear, informative and easy to understand.

Again, Amazon was great.

Hi, For both my girls (11 and 9) I used the books 'Lets talk about where babies come from' which talks about sex and 'Girls Only' which is a great book about periods and puberty. I found they were brilliant as the 'Lets talk..' book has a lot of pictures and is very funny and entertaining where as the 'Girls..' book is a lot smaller and gives tips and advice. I talked through the books with both girls at about 9 years old and left them with the books. They then seemed to spend about 6 months reading them regularly at night in their rooms. When questions have arisen they have asked more but both books are pretty thorough!! Funny but my younger daughter who has mild Aspergers has learnt the books of by heart and could go on Mastermind now!
