Hi - I have a question relating to the differences between A levels and the Pre U exam. My dd is currently at a school that does A levels but has the offer of a place for 6th form at a school that does Pre U. Her current headmaster is telling us that universities do not rate Pre U grades differently to A level and because it is harder a candidate is effectively penalised for university entrance by needing to do better if they do Pre U than if they did A level.
I'm sure we should have thought about this earlier but was hoping that someone with more knowledge than me would be able to tell me if this is (a) true and (b) matters.
Any insights gratefully received. Many thanks.
