I've been doing the same old things today, muddy park outings. At least no rain today!

I liked your comment about lent and the custard creams wax. Hows your boy doing with the jury duty stuff?

I heard quite a good idea for Lent today. Get a big box, and every day put one thing you don’t like/use/want in it. By the end there’s a bit of decluttering done.

I have books in a box already waiting for the charity shops to open!

If I didn't already have quite a big box I'd start that though!

I'm desperate for a new book, I've read everything available here...
I know I should get a kindle but it's too fancy pants for me, I just want an old fashioned book
Hope the library opens soon

Hello!
How amazing would it be to go out for dinner? I'm sick of cleaning the kitchen! Might eat a McDonald's in the car later 😂

Thanks for the new thread wouldbegood. Sorry to hear about your teeth. I hate teeth.

I've decided to use lent as a kick up the arse to try to eat a bit less crap and hopefully lose some weight... I am/ was actually quite religious and used to do worthy things for lent, but I'm in such a fucking grump with everything at the moment I'm not doing that as a big farty raspberry to the almighty. Cos I'm mature like that. I'm going at it entirely secularly as a time-limited period to see what happens.

I've had about 3 clearouts since last March to go to charity, and the bags still haven't made it to the shop. I can only get them there on the bus, and I don't think we've actually been allowed on non essential buses at any point since march - even when things were "open" public transport was reserved for the worthy key workers and essential purposes. And me going to a charity shop, that may or may not have been open I never considered essential.

Ha notanactualsheep I usually try for good deed type things in lent but I don't have the energy this year. A bit more will power might be the best I can do for 2021.

Thank you @ssd He got a good letter from Uni which confirmed he has classes and has important stuff he needs to do that week it being the last week of 2nd semester and that being 3rd year, his assessments are crucial in terms of his degree award and asking them to excuse him. So we put that in the box and attached the letter.
He also pointed out the over 4 hour round trip passing through and stopping off in many council area at a time when we've been told not to. he got an acknowledgement back just saying there is an email backlog they are dealing with, so I guess we just wait now.
