Who else is back to school this week?

DD1 goes into P3 and my DTs start P1.

DD is all excited, DD2 is quite looking forward to it and DS has decided that he isn't going aye you are

My nieces dd starts school this week. She is so excited. Her uniform has been on everyday for the last week.

I go back on Friday (cheated out my last weekend) DDs back a week on Monday. Summer has flown in and I am in denial. I love my job but can suffer from a lack of work /life balance at times.

Mine are back on Thursday. Ds starts S1 and dd going into S4.

I thought I’d be fine, I was when DS1 started school but I’m a shaky mess this week!

This thread got me thinking!

It's 21 years ago I took Dd1 to school for the first time.
I'll start all over again in 2 years when Dd2 starts school.
Looks like I'll be spending my life going the school run 😂

Mine are totally out of routine. I think after school will be worse than the mornings though, they're definite early birds.

I was a bit emotional with DD1, but I haven't been wobbly yet with the DTs memories of the terrible twos are still strong.

I think I might be worse at secondary. The advert where the boy kicks the football to the older boy gets me every time

We still have a little while. DS goes in for the morning on the 22nd to finalise his Highers choices and then both DC go back properly on 27 August.

Mine go back a week on Monday, s6, s2, p4 & p3, my son went in yesterday to sort out his subjects for s6 as he passed English so decided to do the higher and take geography, will be quiet in my house without them

Mine don't go back til September (Manchester) but this year I've kept my youngest (6) in her usual bed time routine. It's meant not many lie ins but after the last holidays where it took her 5 weeks to get back into the swing of things I can't risk it again. DD starts P5 on Tuesday, she's glad to be going back to see her friends but had a lovely holiday not looking forward to doing packed lunches again.

Ours aren't until the 21st. Am I the only one that will be doing the chim chimminy dance? Having the two older dd's at home really knocks me and my dts routine.

I'm looking forward to it, I need the routine too but not back to uni til start of oct.
