Cheap but nice places to live near glasgow...

Split up with my partner who i live with, want to find somewhere i can live myself, as nice but as cheap as possible. Any ideas of areas to look at?

Im in the finnieston area. So i know i would need to move out of the centre a bit to get more for my money. I have a car and drive a lot for work so areas near motorway etc would be good.

Some bits of Paisley are nice and quiet, 15 mins walk to Gilmore St with 10 min journey time to Central -

Paisley is a good shout, but only really if you can push your budget over £500 to get the better areas.

Knightswood isn't too bad. Anniesland also. Close enough to the west end with good transport links also.

Kinning Park is lovely and undergoing a regeneration just now, walkable distance to city centre, metro links a two minute walk and excellent access to M8 and M77. Can get a lovely flat for your budget. HTH

Have you considered the Southside? Cheaper than west end and there are lots of amenities.Cathcart, Mount Florida, Battlefield, Crosshill, Queens Park are all still very central.

Ive managed to find somewhere in Yoker, well within my budget which is good. I sort of knownthe area, i have family that stay nearby, and its far enough from the area that i want to avoid seeing people in...

Another vote for Kinning Park! My friend lives there and it’s ace. Close to town, there’s an underground and it’s very up and coming.

Got the keya to my new place! Needs a bit of a clean but i can get stuff done through the week, and the plan is to be fully moved in by the end of the week! Exciting times....!
