We are going to heads of Ayr farm park at the weekend, I've never been before!

Have a 4 year old and a 4 month old, what is there that they shouldn't miss?? Well mostly the 4 year old as baby couldn't care less!

Weather is meant to be awful, is there enough indoor stuff and will I be ok to take the pram?

Thanks!

It is really an outdoor place. Been a couple of years since I was there but I only remember a cafe and (quite a scary) soft play inside. Lots of fun outside though.

We loved heads of Ayr when ds and dn's were young, but for the money they charge now you are looking for a nice day as it is really an outdoor place. Indoor stuff (soft play jungle, huge slides) is really more suited to older kids.

Oh and food is terrible so take a picnic.

How did it go? I've heard it is quite expensive for what there is.

We went in Easter and thought it was fantastic. We were staying at Craig Tara next door and thought it would pass the morning. Went in at 10.30 and came out at 5pm closing time! Most of it is outdoors, but there is soft play, one part for younger kids and another section for the older kids. If you can plan for a dry(ish) day it would definitely be better.

I thought the food was fine. Our scampi and chips went down a treat. It was served on paper plates though!

Thanks for the info. We have family nearby and think it might be worth a visit next time we go.
