In despair. Absolutely in despair. Do we have to go through this again? And with such a long lead up to the referendum? Really? What happened to the settled will of the Scottish people?

@statisticallychallenged Will you help me get through this again? (Was Roseformeplease then).

I was No, I'd say I was a Don't Know now. I didn't go through all that bloody effort canvassing for David Cameron and his pals to screw everything up royally.

Here. Was a bit of a silent majority member last time, not this time!

I was a no previously and am still a no. the maths still don't add up for me. I also couldn't think the EU will survive very long so it all might be academic. I think if turkey get free visa travel within the EU then the EU will collapse.

In one way it's not a surprise but it is depressing.

Will support anyone here but don't think i will be engaging in any debates this time around.

I will vote no again if we have to go through this one more time. But I will avoid the news and prune my social media groups, pages and friends. I'm too skunnered with politics now.

I'm still here too. TBH I'm utterly gutted. Can't believe that despite the previous vote, the current economy, and the total mess of Scottish education, Scottish NHS, centralisation of the emergency services that they're still pushing through their single agenda.

Another two years of poison then. DH has already said if it goes Yes we will be off. They make me hate my own country and many of the people in it and that's not healthy.

I am a teacher and tool old to learn new tricks. But, I will just have to. Can't bear it. Makes me so angry, upset and despairing.

I know Hamlet it's a horrible feeling.
I have never signed a petition in my life but just did this one
www.scotlandinunion.co.uk

It's not a political party thing, it's for everyone that doesn't want another referendum to happen.

My Facebook is awash with glee from the yes voters currently. Again going to have months of feeling like I have to keep my mouth shut and being the minority in various social circles.
Not a happy day for me at all.

I have donated money today - to the Union campaign. Because, yet again we will have to fight the 2 lottery winners who bankrolled the last one. It makes me so angry. I heard pupils discussing it aggressively today and remembered how divisive it all was and how long it took to heal.

Also, as I live in a Yes area I have to be quiet about my feelings. I have one or two friends I can talk to but DH is away (in England - for work) so I can't moan.

At least my 2 children will be able to vote this time but the Nats will have been breeding supporters too.

I'm here too. I don't know if I have the strength to go through this again Sad

I'm just so angry at Nicola Sturgeon and her complete disregard for the result of the last referendum. It's such a kick in the teeth Angry

Oh FFS! Not again. Can't be arsed with the impending madness.

At least though if it's a no vote again she'll have to go.

Damaging, divisive shite. Angry

The only hope is that the Quebec movement died after the second go. I am not so optimistic it will be another 'no'.

Here- I'm devasted and was horrendously verbally abused in work by yes campaigners- including boss and union rep- so had nowhere to turn. Fuck sake the 'banter' dominated the office for too long- I don't think I could cope again!

Firstly I think it's disgusting that she can completely ignore a democratic vote. They knew Brexit was looming. Scotland has been told that they will not get into the EU as a single country. We knew this before the referendum and before brexit. Scotland is a very, very tiny country with very little economic output or export worth. We are just not attractive enough financially to be accepted into the EU. The financial support from England is essential for things to remain as they are. I love Scotland very much but it is ridiculous to think we could financially support ourselves completely. We have a much lower population and a much lower employment rate. This is true of many countries were the population is so spread out due to the demographic lay of the land. Cumbria or Cornwall too, if that were to go 'independent' simply could not support themselves. The oil is finite. It is very low yells and will probably last another ten years if we're lucky.

Hello. I'm not Scottish. I'd like you all to stay but I'm a remainer - I can totally see why you'd vote in order to remain in the EU. Is that just pie in the sky then- can Scotland really not get into the EU and is Brexit really just an excuse to split up the union? Or is there a chance An independent Scotland could be part of the EU? I am NOT being goady (I hope), I'd genuinely like to know as I know little about what separation would mean for Scotland.

Of course there's a chance, but as we all said over and over again the last time, Scotland would not have any influence at all.

I cannot understand how people can complain about the lack of influence at WM and promote Scotland joining the EU as an independent nation. They'd really know what a lack of influence was then.

Me too. I was a no last time. Definite no still. I voted "remain" in the EU referendum but when the chips are down I feel more loyalty to my next door neighbours in England, Wales and NI than I do to Germany or Belgium. Leaving the Uk would be nuts.

Try telling that to the cybernats who are positively wetting themselves in delight about being able to bleat on about Westmonster and how they hate the Tories.

So fed up with it all.

I'm a No from last time and a No again. Can't believe we have to go through it all again either. It really ground me down last time and I was sick and tired of being belittled and scorned on Facebook etc. by people I thought were friends, just because I had a different political opinion. It's divided families and friendship groups already and we have to endure it all for a second time. I could run away.
