We are planning a trip to legoland the first week in May. Will the English schools be off that week too?

No they won't be off, may half the last week of may usually but this year it's late and they don't break up til 28th? May. First week of may the kids will be at school.

Mine are off the last week of May.

The first Monday is a bank holiday so avoid theme parks then.
Other than that you should be fine until the last week of May.

But may 2nd is a bank holiday

Monday 2nd May this year will be a bank holiday so schools are closed. That long weekend will be very busy so avoid at all costs. Tuesday 3rd might be busy too if local schools have tagged an Inset day onto the lonh weekend. But from Weds 4th - good to go.

Even though it will be school time, there will still be a high number of children who look like they should be in school.

Thanks so much. Would the Harry Potter studio be equally as busy?

Redcrayons Sun 31-Jan-16 13:03:34

Harry Potter restrict the number of entrance tickets they sell over the course of the day so it's not usually too mad busy.

Though if you wanted to go on the bank holiday Monday you should probably be booking tickets now.

There's an election on May 5th?

Stinkyfeet Mon 01-Feb-16 19:24:26

GLA and Mayoral election in London boroughs.

Ds's school is closed (not in a London borough) - Local elections maybe?
