Childminding for summer

I'm currently not working and have my nine and 13-year old at home.
Am thinking it would be possible to look after another child for the summer. We have a large garden and it might benefit my two to have another child to play with. The money would be useful too!
I don't have childminding qualifications, and don't know if it would even be allowed under guidelines.
Can anyone advise?

I think if you charge you need to be registered with ofsted, and have checks and safeguarding.
Otherwise anyone could set up as a child minder.

I think I read somewhere that you can take children older than eight without being registered, but maybe I'm wrong.
