Have been a stay at home mum for a while now not really out of choice but can’t afford childcare so until my child gets funding I’m stuck at home. I am utterly bored. Yes I’m busy but bored. Feel like I have nothing to look forward to ever, anyone got any tips on how to improve this feeling ? Things I can do? Things we can do as a family? We go out loads but still find myself bored lol thanks

Is there something you can do when your dp looks after your little one, during evening or at weekend, that will stimulate your mind?

Or can you volunteer, doing something like grant fund applications, which you could do at a time of day or night to suit yourself, for a local Scout Group or PlayGroup or other small charity / good cause near you?

Or could you run a 'Stay and Play Group' near you - something your little one could come to with you? I know of 2 near here that are closing this Summer as there is no-one willing to take over the Leadership.

How old is your dc? What do you like doing? A major plus point for being a SAHP is flexibility, you have nowhere that you absolutely have to be, you can go wherever you fancy. Art galleries? Cinema (baby dependent of course)?

What do you do for yourself now? Do you see friends etc in the evenings?

I do actually volunteer once a week which I love, I don’t really have any hobbies or none that we could afford right now!! I’d love to get back into tennis but on one income just isn’t possible atm, I think I know the answer unfortunately🙁 I don’t think I will feel better until I can finally get back into work! I do go out loads and am generally busy as have 2 children 1 in school 1 at home but I just don’t feel as stimulated as I ever did when I worked 🙁 wondered if there was a magic cure ? Lol thanks

How about a to do list? Things to do before the year ends? Or even the summer? Like where I'm from we have the dinosaur Park, farm, swimming etc... Do yourself a scrap book of things you and your child/ren have done x
