My DS is 16 months old and I am pregnant again so after the school run I pop Cbeebies on and have a cup of tea before I start the household chores! (Ahh to be a SAHP) anyhoo this programme 'bing' is a bunny which Is a giant in comparison to his .... Carer, dad thing called flop!
It appears all the 'adults' are teeny tiny and all the babies are giants!
I know I have too much time on my hands and clearly I am thinking way to deeply into this child's cartoon! But what the fudge! How are these teeny tiny 'adults' able to produce such giant and how do the giants turn in to teeny tiny adults?? Is it some sort of metamorphosis!!?? Or are the 'real' parents at their jobs and these teeny tiny grown ups just little workers!! ð??ð??³ð??
Seriously I can't be on my own with being so confused by children's TV!!! Lol

I've given up wondering about Bing! In the books Flop seems to be his teddy that sort of comes to life. In the tv show he's his carer- any parent would be far less patient with him! I think that the size thing is sort of how toddlers see us, just ploddy about things at their beck and call. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and ds is a lively 18 month old, at this point as long as it keeps him happy whilst i get a cuppa it's all good!

Wink Being pregnant and chasing after lively toddlers in this heat is a definite struggle!! Cbeebies is a life saver at times!! Sometimes I can even nap on the sofa!!! lol (before I'm woken up with a poke in the eye!)
Bing is probably the least of my worries..... I found myself getting. Infuriated with PPat Confused the other day!! Is this what my life has become!!!
I will eventually get out more!! WinkSmile

On days like today they could quadruple the license fee and i would still happily pay it for c beebies alone!!

I actually really hate bing. Which is unfortunate as it is DD2s favourite.

"Its a bing thing." NO IT FUCKING ISN'T!!!

The author popped up on another thread on here recently. maybe he can explain?

DS loves it. I don't mind it. I have wondered how Flop never ever gets cross, when Bing hides and nearly gets lost in shop or breaks his phone and hides it in the bin etc. It's always 'no big thing'

I get annoyed in the opening credits when whichever one of them says "he's ok" in a way that for no good reason bugs the crap out of me.

sliceofsoup me too.

I've said 'no it's not, everyone likes/can/needs to ....' so often, that dd1 (3) bellows it at flop at the end of each episode BlushGrin

I loathe it, sadly the dds love it

It is brainwashing of the highest order: Look parents, this is how you should do it, never get cross or annoyed with toddlers, it will work out in the end.

It is very watchable because I love Mark Rylance's voice.

Seffina that annoys me too! And what's with the panda who always takes his trousers off.... Just keep your fudging trousers on!!
Flop is well calm But in comparison to topsy and tim's mum!! Wow she is on another level of clearly drugged up on sleeping tabs to stay that calm! They dropped a whole tray of cup cakes, lost a balloon and all because they were squabbling and all she said was... 'It's times like this when you just take a deep breath!'
No! It's times like this when you hit the wine!! GrinGrinGrin

Ha ha I watched that yesterday OP. With this face Hmm.

I would be hopping about the cakes. Not so much about the balloon though.

Yes Seffina, that bit in the credits irritates me every time too, as does "it's a Bing thing" AGHHHH!
I don't think I could help being star struck if I 'met' the author on MN though Blush
