Mums in Heague Belper

Hi there Mums, we're hoping to relocate back to Derbyshire towards the end of the year. Hubby says Heague would be perfect. We have an 8 year old daughter. Any advice on what it's like to raise a family here, stuff to do, schooling or just generally what you think of the area? Love to hear your views! Thanks a mill!

Heage windmill do lots of fun days & events for families. Nether Heage village just off from Heage village is very quiet but house prices reflect the difference between the two villages. School wise there's Heage primary school or Ambergate Primary school which is a lot smaller classes. Bus routes in Nether Heage are only every 2 hours Monday to Saturday where as Heage are every20 minutes. 2 little shops in Heage none in Nether Heage & 3 pubs in Heage just 1 in Nether Heage. Belper is really clean & pretty they also do lots of events through out the year for families. Also very close to Matlock Bath which is also brilliant for kids. Peak District really close by. There are plans with Amber valley Council for green belt housing in Heage trying to be pushed through no plans that I know of in Nether Heage that I know of. Hope this helps & good luck with your move x
