Does anyone know about wild bees?

I’ve just realised I have a bees nest in the garden within about twenty feet from the back door. The noise is really loud, there are clouds of them and there is a nest wrapped around a tree branch.

Will they take exception to me hanging out washing or my ds aged nine, bumming about outside. The nest is high up so he can’t get too close.
When will they go away? Are they ever aggressive ? Do I need to do anything?

If they are wrapped around a tree branch it is probably a swarm rather than a nest. If they are still there a bee keeper will probably be willing to collect them (your council may well have a list of bee keepers who will do this or search online for a local bee keeping club).

Yes, I think you're right. They all flew away in a cloud yesterday afternoon. I've never seen that many bees before Smile
